SUBJECT JTA Golden Torch Award for Teachers
Dear Colleague,
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association continues to recognize and honour members in active service who have
given thirty-five (35) years or more of continuous service to the Jamaican Education System. We are asking
that you list on the form attached the teachers on your staff who qualify and who have NOT received the
Award.
Ceremony: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the AC Hotel, 38–42 Lady Musgrave Road, Kingston 5, beginning at
10:00 a.m.
Kindly complete and return the attached form no later than Friday, February 20, 2026 to the JTA
Head Office at 97B Church Street, Kingston, or to any of the JTA Regional Offices. The addresses are listed
on the attached Reply Form.
Also attached is the document with the criteria for the Award.
