The JTA's Critical Illness Trust Fund was created in 2019, with a mission to provide support to teachers affected by lifestyle diseases, helping to cover their health-related expenses. The Critical Illness Trust Fund steps in to cover these gaps by providing pay-outs that help manage the exorbitant medical expenses that arise.
The fund is invaluable as it covers specific, high-cost illnesses that can quickly outstrip a family's regular health insurance. The burden of unexpected medical bills can be devastating for teachers, who dedicate their lives to shaping future generations.
