The President and the General Council of the Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) invite you to attend and cover the 2013 Roll of Honour Award Presentation Ceremony on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston.
Guest Speaker: The Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, Prime Minister
The Award will be presented to Mr. Patrick Smith, Senior Secretary, Member Services, and former JTA President whose distinguished career spans 46 years’ service in Jamaica, Africa and England. He is the 44th recipient of the Award which was launched in 1977, and which is the local teaching profession’s highest honour. Special messages will be delivered at the function by the Hon. Rev. Ronald Thwaites, Minister of Education, and the Hon. Steadman Fuller, Custos of Kingston, who will represent the Governor General and Patron of the Roll of Honour Award, Sir Patrick Allen.
