A. Wesley Powell Memorial Scholarship for Teachers

Regulations Governing the Granting of the A. Wesley Powell Memorial Scholarship

Those applying for this scholarship must be:

• Teachers and members of the Jamaica Teachers' Association
   
• Final year undergraduate students at:
  • University of the West Indies (UWI)
     
  • University of Technology (UTech)
     
  • Northern Caribbean University (NCU)
     
  • The Mico University College
     
  • Any other accredited tertiary institution during the academic year 2014 - 2015

On completion of the course, scholarship recipients must continue to teach for at least two (2) academic years.

Where a recipient fails to comply with the above, this recipient will have breached the scholarship agreement and will be expected to refund the Association the entire amount granted for scholarship.
