The Central Executive of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association, at a meting held today October 22, 2021, has given its support for a phased resumption of schools on a face-to-face basis. This support, however, is contingent on the following conditions:

 

1. The decision must be guided by the Disaster Risk Management Act.

2. The Ministry of Education must outline a structured resumption plan.

3. All schools must be provided with the required resources as stipulated by the Public Health Protocols.

4. Priority ought to be given to students who are preparing for external examinations.
