March 1, 2016
The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) regrets the untimely passing of Devon Brown, Principal of Mt. Airy, Clarendon.
Mr. Brown died at his home this morning (March 1st) after completing what obviously was his last day at work on Monday, February 29th.
The JTA joins the host of others paying tribute to his life as an educator and as an active member of the Mocho District Association in the parish.
The JTA extends condolences to the Mt Airy School family and also to his immediate family members.
Meanwhile, the JTA condemns the slaying of 41 year old Orville Francis, Information Technology teacher of the Port Maria HEART Trust/NTA institution in St. Mary who was found dead at his home in Oracabessa on Monday February 29th.
The JTA is encouraging the HEART Trust/NTA family to be strong amidst the present challenge as we await the outcome of the police investigations.
